Dear HGECC Families,
As I am writing this letter I hope that it finds you safe, healthy, and enjoying the winter months. The High Grove teachers and staff are enjoying each and every moment with your little blessings. This week we enjoyed spirit week to celebrate the Chiefs going to the Super Bowl! Students spread kindness, learned about shapes in their environment, wrote their names, and worked on social interactions with their classmates.
Next, it has come to my attention that some families were not notified of the change regarding students wearing masks on the buses. Please know that it was not an intentional omission and I apologize greatly if you were not contacted. Due to the close quarters on our school buses, our students will need to wear a mask while riding the bus. It would be helpful if you could provide your child with a mask to ride the bus, however, we will continue to provide CDC-approved masks for our students when getting on the bus.
In the News & Announcements section of the website, you will find information as well as a flyer advertising our parent curriculum offerings for the upcoming few weeks. We want to engage with you as partners in building healthy, brain smart families that help children grow and learn. We will provide six virtual sessions for parents via Zoom. At each session, we will have a virtual gift-card drawing for five participants. Finally, if you attend all 6 sessions you will be entered into a drawing for two $36 Price Chopper gift cards. (¿Le interesaría participar en una capacitación similar para padres en español? Si es así, llame al 816-316-5521)
Please remember that although our building is closed to outside visitors, we are here to support you throughout the year. Please reach out to us at 816-316-5500 should you have any questions or need any additional information.
